SF Global Shapers Project Pitch Day

Each year, San Francisco Global Shapers undertake projects to improve our local community. On October 2, we hosted a project pitch day at Minerva for the public to learn more about our portfolio of projects for 2016-2017. This is an opportunity for Shapers to gather feedback and ideas for their projects, and an opportunity for the public to join project teams.

Project teams pitched to the audience. Each project takes a different approach to tackling an issue of local significance. This year's projects include initiatives to get out the vote; pilot new approaches to diversity and inclusivity at a city level; building an app to help low-income and homeless residents get better access to services; an annual "Party at the Palace" charity gala; design-thinking in Cuba; a nanodegree training initiative for parents of low-income families; an initiative to improve healthy food access for the homeless; and many more.
