On February 6, San Francisco Global Shapers hosted Oliver Zahn for a ShaperTalk at WeWork.
Oliver Zahn is an astrophysicist and foodie passionate about trying to make this world a better place. After a decade of experience solving complex theoretical and computational physics problems, he recently became the chief data scientist at Impossible Foods, which is intelligently transforming plants into the most delicious, nutritious, and sustainable meats and dairy foods, without relying on animals. He previously directed the world’s leading cosmological research center at UC Berkeley, studying the origin and evolution of structure in the Universe, following his doctoral work at Harvard University.
He talked about his experience turning datasets into meaningful impact, and how to create social impact with the lessons he's learned in a 1:1 moderated talk.
