"Meet the Leader" with YGL Christopher Ategeka

On June 8, 2016, San Francisco Global Shapers sat down for a fireside "Meet the Leader" chat with Young Global Leader (YGL) Christopher Ategeka, founder of Rides for Lives. The discussion, moderated by SF Shaper Meghan Stevenson-Krausz and hosted by SF Shaper Margot Edelman, explored Chris's leadership journey. Chris (right) and Meghan (left) are pictured above.

Chris is an award winning Uganda-born Engineer and Social Entrepreneur. He has dedicated his life to changing the current state of the world most vulnerable populations through technology and innovation. He is the founder and CEO of Rides for Lives, an on-demand rural healthcare delivery company, and Life Avenue, a company that incentives local healthcare professionals to serve in their local communities. He has won many awards for his work, most recently becoming a 2016 World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, on the list with familiar faces such as Ashton Kutcher and Amal Clooney. He is also a 2014 Forbes Magazine 30 Under 30, Ashoka fellow, and Echoing Green fellow. Chris's work has been featured in many major media publications and he is also a contributing editor for Forbes, Huffington Post, and Engineering For Change.
